I Relay in memory of my mother. She was diagnosed in mid-November of 2006 and lost her battle November 22. She didn’t even have a chance because this disease struck her hard and aggressively. My Mom lost her fight but our family has had others diagnosed as well. I myself am a survivor.
I dream of a world without this nasty disease. It breaks my heart to see anyone suffer from the treatments for cancer as well as the disease itself. I have seen the daughter of friends lose her battle at the age of 5 ½ after fighting for 3 ½ years.
Relay gives me the opportunity to do something to help those I love that have heard the words “you have cancer”. The money raised helps those get services from the American Cancer Society as well as fund research, and make changes through our legislators.
Please join me as the communities come together for a night of fun and touching tributes to those that have heard those terrible words.
Walk On,
